Why Single Digit Golf
Launching December 2017, Single Digit Golf began sharing comprehensive tips, resources and reviews – helping golfers create a roadmap to play better golf! This is not a site for bland equipment reviews sponsored by the manufacturer. This is not an instructional site providing a one-dimensional “MY” approach to the golf swing. We are not golf professionals and we are not qualified to do so. However, we are experienced professionals at gathering information and evaluating its content. This content will improve your golf acument and help you to become a better golfer.
Our channel resources will help you to make sound decisions for your own game. SDG will show you how to prioritize and strategize the process; how to evaluate instructors, how to prioritize the equipment changes in your bag, what options do you have, what will work for you and why? Which golf ball should you use? How do you know? SDG will show you!
Along the way, you will learn about local organizations that can help you, new equipment, fashion, and the all-important mental side of golf. You need this!!
In 2015, Single Digit Golf founder Mark Anderson, was invited to play in a member/guest outing by a good friend in Idaho that remembered Mark to be a very good golfer that was not playing a lot of golf and therefore might shoot a better game than his handicap. He was right. With a round full of birdies and triple bogies they managed to win their flight but lost in the shootout when Mark sculled a wedge from the trap in front of hundreds of spectators.
Humiliated? Yes! He vowed to get back on his game and started working on that process immediately.
As a business consultant, Mark was experienced at executing evaluations resulting in recommended disciplines that would systematically help his clients. He recognized that this would be a valuable process to take helping his own game.
Seeking help with his equipment, the mental game, his swing, short game and a practice regimen, he found that golf instruction typically fell in to one of two diametrically opposed camps: A. The “jack of all trades but a master of none” (they knew a little bit about everything). Or B. Silo experts! Highly respected teachers that have thoroughly researched one of golf’s many disciplines, including research and cutting edge recommendations on how to excel (take putting for example). So Mark sought the best in their field across all disciplines to help him with his game. This database of resources, three years in the making, is used to inform subscribers to Single Digit Golf with the first steps in the recommended roadmap to be released in January of 2018.
